Love & Style / Fonda + Tina

September 1, 2010

We are really excited to be shooting Fonda and Tina’s wedding on new years eve.  We did a ‘Love & Style’ shoot them on Sunday and brought out our 1972 VW Bus.  We thought since we will be shooting their wedding in the winter this would be a completely opposite look.  Big thanks to everyone who helped us on the shoot!

We had a great time at Sprucewood Shore Winery with Ryan and Amber this past weekend.   Amber had on some pretty funky pink shoes to go with the theme of the wedding and I loved her strategy of picking them out!  According to Amber “You know you’ve found the right pair of shoes when they make you giggle”.  Something for every woman to live by!!

You know that feeling of butterflies when you meet someone special and something just ‘clicks’?  That feeling of excitement and nervousness that suddenly takes over?

Well, when Noelle met Miguel there was something about him that she had been waiting a long time to find but that amazing feeling she had was crushed when she found out he had a girlfriend!

So, with no other choice, she went her separate way and tried not to think about him.

A few weeks later, Noelle and a girlfriend went out for a night on the town and to her surprise ran into Miguel. But this time, he was single!  Noelle looked at her friend and holding in her excitement said “I’m getting married!!”

I guess something inside of her just knew they were made for each other…

When our friend Kenny Kim invited us to shoot a wedding in Chicago Brandon and I couldn’t wait.  Amazing food, amazing architecture and amazing shopping… uh, yes please!

So after the five hour car ride thorough what seemed to be endless construction we arrived with just enough time for a restful night’s sleep… about three hours worth!

Thank goodness Kenny practically lives off of Starbucks because a caffeine rush was exactly what I needed the next morning (and every other hour after that).

We headed off to the Intercontinental Hotel downtown where we spent a relaxed morning with the Joanne and her bridesmaids getting ready for the day.  With constant laughter filling the room we could tell already it was going to be an amazing day.

We walked the Chicago strip with the wedding party and had a blast talking photos up and down Michigan Avenue.  Later on that night, we walked to the end of the Famous Navy Pier and boarded the Odyssey ll for the reception. We cruised the shoreline as the guests mingled and danced to the incredible backdrop of the Chicago skyline.

We are so happy that we had a chance to go along with Kenny for the day and meet some absolutely amazing people.  A big thanks again to Kenny for having us and showing us the grand tour of Chicago… just let us know when you are ready to explore the Great White North (eh!)
